Ingredients
- 5 cups milk (full fat) (Or almond milk if vegan)
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 cup basmati rice (Or any medium grain white rice, rinsed)
- 1/2 cup sugar adjust to taste
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Directions
- Add water to the pot 1
- Press saute
- Once the water begins to steam or boil, pour the milk into the pot
- Add rice
- Stir, wait for mixture to begin steaming
- Close lid, pressure cook on high for 20 minutes
- Allow natural pressure release for 20 minutes
- Press saute
- Add sugar and cinnamon
- Stir until incorporated and thickened
- Turn off instant pot
Extras
- Add raisins when adding sugar and cinnamon
- Top with whipped cream
- Mash the rice once cooked for a creamier texture
