--- KcalCiabatta, sausage, cheese, and egg with a spicy garlic-sriracha sauce
Ingredients
- 1 ciabatta roll, split
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
- 1 breakfast sausage patty 1
- 1 egg
- 1 slice cheddar (or your preferred melting cheese)
- 2 tablespoons Bread-Bound Sriracha Rouille or Sriracha Aioli — either works
- ¼ avocado, sliced
- Salt
- Pepper
Directions
- Butter the cut sides of the ciabatta roll and toast face-down in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden, 1–2 minutes. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook the sausage patty over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side.
- Move the patty to one side of the skillet, top it with the cheese, and let it melt while the patty finishes.
- Push the patty to a plate and fry the egg in the same skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Spread the sauce on the bottom half of the toasted roll.
- Stack the sausage patty with melted cheese, then the fried egg, then the avocado slices.
- Close the sandwich with the top half and eat immediately, while the egg is still warm and the yolk is soft.
Notes
- Doubling the recipe just means running two patties and two eggs through the same skillet — the sauce and cheese steps don’t need to change per sandwich.
